Yongala Gold Project, SA
The Yongala Gold Project is 100% owned and is located in a prospective gold exploration region in South Australia.
Historic exploration across the project area has identified multiple gold occurrences associated with quartz veins and shear zones, consistent with orogenic gold systems. Previous drilling and surface sampling have confirmed the presence of gold mineralisation within favourable host rocks, highlighting the potential for additional discoveries across the project area.
Exploration at Yongala has historically focused on gold, base metals and rare earth elements, delivering encouraging results.
Rock chip sampling has returned grades of up to 6.2% Cu, 0.33% Co and 0.35% TREO, while drilling by CSR Limited in 1977 intersected 32m at 0.15% Cu and 0.25% Pb within oxidised zones containing malachite and azurite.
More recent work by Rox 1 confirmed high-grade copper and silver mineralisation, including results of up to 10.8% Cu and 57.1 g/t Ag, along with REE anomalism up to 0.35% TREO. These results highlight the potential for multiple mineralisation styles, including possible carbonatite-related systems analogous to nearby projects in the region.
